История

Adam Brashear already had an extensive combat career as a Marine in the Korean War when he was blasted by an experimental machine designed to create a bridge to the Negative Zone. This accident made Adam into the Blue Marvel, one of the most powerful men on Earth, but it also turned his friend Connor Sims into Anti-Man, his nemesis.

Adam has been a major part of hero operations since the 1960s, but because of his status as an African American, his heroic deeds at the time were covered up. His identity was only revealed to the world recently, long after he had retired from adventuring to become a teacher. Now accepted by the wider world, Adam has become Blue Marvel once again.

Despite a lifetime of discrimination weighing on his soul, Adam has always managed to be a loyal friend and a good teacher. His students consider him to be charming and personable.
